Aleta Agency successfully passes the annual control audit under ISO 17100:2015
On the 26th of September 2019 we successfully passed the regular annual control audit under ISO 17100:2015 – the international standard for quality of translation services.
Why do we do it? Why do we invest time, efforts and resources to meet the requirements of this standard?
The short answer is to stand out. There are over 650 translation agencies on the Bulgarian market and about half of them are based in Sofia. Obviously it’s hard for clients to choose an agency. However, the certification under an international standard means high quality, reputation and control. Annual audits work exclusively in favour of clients because they check us in several aspects:
• How we select our translators and editors, how we assess them and how we take care to maintain their qualification;
• How we have organised the work process, how we monitor the status of different projects and how we meet clients’ requirements;
• How we maintain confidentiality as regards the information about our clients and their projects;
• What technical equipment we maintain and to what extent we are protected from crashes;
• How we assess clients’ satisfaction and what steps we undertake to boost it;
All these inspections conducted annually have a very disciplinary effect on our work and encourage us to do our best. We believe it’s worth all the efforts because our focus has always been on building on our relationships with our clients and working together in the long term. In fact, none of our regular clients has asked us whether we are certified – for them the results of our work speak for themselves. But for our potential new clients this certification matters. In a strongly competitive environment a quality certificate is something one should require when choosing a reliable translation service provider.

Apostille by the Regional Administrations
As of 1st of January 2019, if you need an Apostille affixed to a birth certificate for example, you will be able to do it in any Regional Administration.
The change will affect some of the most popular documents of natural persons such as birth certificate, marital status certificate, permanent address certificate, certificate of identity of names, etc. – virtually all documents issued by the mayors and municipal administrations, and aims to save people the trip to Sofia for the affixation of an Apostille.

The certification of the translator’s signature on the document will continue to be affixed in the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sofia. If you need this certification and the document will go to Sofia anyway, you might consider to affix the Apostille in the Sofia Regional Administration.
